In “Devil’s Disco”, Stevens considers the temptations of venturing into the unknown, particularly in the age of COVID-19. Inspired by the continual reports of underground parties being held worldwide despite the risk of spreading infection, Stevens taunts us with a trio of obscured figures. Are they friends or foes? Could they bring some new life-changing connection, or are they harbingers of woe? And at what point does the danger finally outweigh the thrills it brings?
